Since 1974, the Open Academy at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music has opened the doors of the Conservatorium to the community through a wide range of programs, courses and workshops for school students, musicians, music teachers and to all those who are interested in learning more about music. The Open Academy offers a range of courses and classes to people aged 3 to 93! Music is so much more than just playing an instrument. The music skills of listening, understanding, creating and enjoying music play a key role in a child’s development and should be experienced by all children. Using action songs, body percussion, story-telling and guided listening activities, our teacher will engage your child in a musical world that can lead to a life enriched by music.

Open to students aged 3-10, the Kids at the Con classes serve as a fantastic introduction to music class where students are engaged and are free to explore their musical creativity in a welcoming and non-competitive environment.

No prior experience necessary!
