Description

Earlwood District Guides is a community-based organisation that provides opportunities for girls and young women to develop their skills, confidence and leadership. This District was established in 1930 by a group of local women who wanted to offer a positive alternative to the traditional roles and expectations of girls at the time. Since then, Earlwood District Guides has grown to include two units that cater to different age groups and interests. Earlwood District Guides is part of the larger Girl Guides Australia movement, which aims to empower girls and women to make a difference in the world. A modern organisation for a modern age, Guiding is a girl-led movement supporting women and girls to define their own journey while having fun and learning to work with others.
