I'm a mum of 3 and a passionate storyteller always watching for the small, authentic moments and relationships. I believe in love, connection, compassion, kindness and messiness, coffee and wine.

I am all for ticking off adventure on a bucket list but to me, a ‘once-in-a-lifetime experience’ is a Saturday afternoon at your house! The laughter, the tickles, the joy, the spills, the tears and tantrums, messy hair and mountains of washing, the bubbles at bath time and cuddles at bedtime on a day that will never come again.

The thrill I get when I see my families crying over their photographs, recognising their love reflected in the images brings me so much joy. For mums to see that even through the endless ground-hog days of thankless, repetitive hard work, you really are the heart and soul of the home, an irreplaceable relationship in the life of your small person, is so special.

What’s in a session?
I want to come to your home and hang out with you, get to know your tribe and capture a little slice of your life.

Sessions are 2, 4 or 6 hours. You’ll find the 6 hour session really encapsulates a ‘day in the life’ of your family well. 6 hours seems a very long time but it’s only after an hour or so that everyone forgets me and gets on with their day. This means more meaningful, authentic images, no posing or directing from me.

2 hour sessions are great to add to your annual family story or to document a birthday party or an activity/hobby you love doing.

What do we need to do?
Absolutely nothing but be yourself! Sometimes people worry that their house isn't fancy enough or that the kids won't be well behaved or compliant on the day. As a mum living in a house with 6 kids I understand that the day ebbs and flows and you know, the tears and tantrums along with the joy and laughter are what makes your family unique. Snack time, nap time… anytime is perfectly imperfectly beautiful.

    Priceless photos
    One of my biggest regrets is not getting professional photos while I was pregnant, or soon after my children were born. I can’t go back, those moments have passed, and I have missed that opportunity. Finally we have gotten professional photos done. We are thrilled with the results! Briony did not just capture our family, she captured a snippet of our life. The pictures are not just what our family looks like now, they tell our story.
