OKUKAN is a modern Japanese karate school of Shitoryu karate-do, based Melbourne's inner North.

Sensei Sandra teaches high quality children's classes, six days a week. We are a family-friendly karate school, offering leading programs for young children in our Kindy Karate program, as well as top notch classes for school children and adults. Beginners most welcome!

We have many family members learning and loving karate together.

Sensei Sandra is a multiple medalist, a former elite athlete and a Referee and National Judge for the AKF. Adults and children in our martial arts school have the opportunity to learn leading karate from a dedicated teacher, and to be inspired by Sensei Sandra's love of karate!

OKUKAN maintains affiliation to mainstream peak bodies. Our DOJO is open every week, including school holidays, for continuous training. Learn to defend yourself, get fit, improve confidence and discover your love of karate.
